How do I cancel my subscription?

On iOS: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, tap Jineo, then Cancel Subscription. Your Pro access continues through the end of the paid period. Jineo itself cannot cancel Apple-managed subscriptions on your behalf.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Jineo. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, find the Jineo purchase, and request a refund. Most requests are decided within 48 hours.

What happens to my selfie after a skin scan?

It's analyzed on your device and discarded immediately afterward. It is not uploaded to our servers. Only the resulting scan scores (numbers) are saved, and only locally unless you've logged into a Jineo account.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

In-app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. If you're having trouble, email us at contact@universalaillc.com with the subject "Delete my Jineo data" and we'll complete the deletion within 30 days.

Is Jineo medical advice?

No. Jineo is a consumer skincare coaching app for informational purposes only. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. For persistent skin concerns, consult a licensed dermatologist.

Can I restore my purchases on a new device?

Yes. Tap Profile → Restore Purchases. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID that paid, your Pro access will come back within seconds.

Why did I get charged after canceling?

Apple requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the next renewal. If you canceled later than that, one more period may be charged. You can confirm in Settings → Subscriptions on your device. If you think this is a mistake, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Does Jineo work without an internet connection?

Yes — most features (scan, Tonight's Focus, diary, shop matches) work offline. You'll need internet for account sync, restoring purchases, and live ingredient-database lookups.
